Two-tenths of an inch of rain fell in Washington Tuesday. Temperatures rose to 91 degrees and fell to 70 degrees overnight. As a result of the rain Tuesday and the precipitation in the early hours Wednesday, a special weather statement was issued Wednesday morning for areas of fog through sunrise.

According to the National Weather Service, so far this year precipitation is below normal with 11.26 inches of precipitation observed since January 1st while 15.1 inches is normal.
