A memorable season culminated in multiple postseason honors for the Sigourney Savage girls’ golf team.The Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association has announced the members of the 2016 All-District Girls Golf Team and Savage seniors Stacy Mohr and Hannah Redlinger and junior Kendall Striegle were all named to the Class 1A District 3 team.

Mohr became the first Sigourney girls’ golfer to make the state tournament as an individual. She carded a 36-hole score of 13 over 184 at Jester Park in Granger, placing 15th in the Class 1A field. Mohr topped the South Iowa Cedar League in nine hole (44.56) and 18-hole (90) averages this spring.

Streigle was second best in the conference in nine hole average (50.1) and posted the fourth best 18-hole average score (98.3). Redlinger concluded her high school golf career with the third best nine hole (55.5) and the fourth best 18-hole (111.5) averages on the squad.

The Savages lose Mohr, Redlinger, Sierra Davis, and Mya Talbert to graduation.
