The future postseason opponent for the Washington Demon baseball team (13-10 overall) has been narrowed down to three regional teams.The Iowa High School Athletic Association released Class 3A and 4A postseason baseball assignments, and Washington has been placed in the Class 3A District 9 grouping.

Joining the Demons in the postseason pairing are the Clear Creek Amana Clippers (9-14 overall), Mount Vernon Mustangs (15-8 overall), and the Solon Spartans (11-11 overall). Washington hosted the Clear Creek Amana Clippers in a non-conference doubleheader on May 25, winning game one, 5-4, and losing game two, 11-1. The Demons are scheduled to travel to Solon for the final game of the regular season on July 12th.

Washington resumed their season last night in Keokuk. The Demons split the doubleheader with the Chiefs, winning game one, 13-4, before losing game two, 8-7.
