Soon residents of Washington will know if up to $3 million in bonds will be approved or not for the new YMCA in Washington. Early voting is underway and Sue Meeks, elections coordinator for Washington County, tells KCII News so far 157 people have cast ballots. Residents of Washington can vote early in person at the auditor’s office or you can request a ballot be mailed to your home. The new YMCA will be built on West 5th Street and the project will cost $10.5 million. Polls will be open August 2nd and listen to KCII that evening for live election results from the Washington County Courthouse.
