Madison Fishback – intermediate winner (contributed photo)

The 2016 Washington County Fair contests have officially begun, with 20 4-H’ers and nine Clover Kids participating in the clothing event. There are three categories: a $15 challenge where students shop for second-hand items to make an entire outfit for $15 or less; clothing selection with purchased clothing; and fashion revue with a constructed outfit.

Senior 4-H’ers to represent Washington County at the Iowa State Fair Awardrobe Event in the $15 challenge will be Baylee Stalder, and in the clothing selection it will be Emily Hora. The intermediate division saw Madison Fishback as the top winner in all three categories and she’ll go on to the intermediate clothing event at Indian Hills Community College.
