In three months the general election to name the next President of the United States will be held and at his recent town hall meeting in Washington Senator Charles Grassley weighed in. He said he wants to hear about from Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton how important they feel the Supreme Court opinions are and what kind of people they’ll nominate. He adds it’s likely the next president will nominate more than one Supreme Court justice, as one is 77 years old, another is 80 and the eldest is 83.

The Republican senator held the Thursday meeting as one of his stops on his annual 99 county tour of Iowa.
