Members of the Iowa Mennonite School Cross Country team recently visited Colorado for a team building and training trip, July 4th through the 10th.

Head Coach Marty Gingerich says this is a trip that his team takes every other year. While in Colorado the group stays at Palmer Lake, Colorado, south of Denver. With that as their home base, the group makes daytrips to other places around the area including Boulder, Garden of the Gods, Pike’s Peak, white water rafting, hiking, volunteering at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp  and more.

IMS team members who made the trip this year included Levi Geyer, Jacob Boller, Micah Miller, Adrian Gonzales, Rachel, Geyer, and Mackenzie Gutierrez. Also joining the trip this year were Iowa Mennonite alumni Renee Buckwalter and Winfield-Mt. Union cross country runner Cecilia Hemsworth.
