The Iowa Mennonite School softball team recently had three individuals recognized for their performance during the 2016 season with all-conference honors.

IMS catcher Avery Blauvelt was a second team All Southeast Iowa Superconference selection. Blauvelt, a sophomore, hit .345 this season for Iowa Mennonite. She led the team with her 19 runs scored and two home runs, fifth most in the conference and was second with 19 hits and 16 RBI this year.

IMS junior Calli Shaw was an honorable mention all-SEISC selection. Shaw led IMS with a .724 slugging percentage, fifth best in the SEISC, 17 RBI, 25 total hits, seven doubles and was tied for the team lead with a pair of home runs, fifth most in the league.

IMS freshman Rubye Ney was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Ney reached base in every game of the regular season. Her .462 batting average led Iowa Mennonite on the season and was eighth best in the conference. She also drew a team high eight walks and scored 17 runs.

IMS ended their season in the class 1A regional quarterfinals. They finished with a 7-11 overall record.
