Keota Elementary Principal Beth McBride recently resigned her position to become principal at St. James School in Washington. The Keota School District is now closer to finding her successor. Superintendent Dennis Phelps said the board has three or four possible candidates, so they’ll be contacting them this week to set up interviews.

He said the interviews will likely be conducted by a series of teams including an administrative team, a faculty team, and possibly a student and community team. The board would then meet the candidates and make their decision. Phelps said they will have the position hired before the start of the school year.
