Mid-Prairie seniors Amber Kral and Alex Rath were selected to play in the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Softball All-Star games held Monday in Waukee.

There were three teams of athletes selected. Kral and Rath competed for the Blue team. In the doubleheader the Blue team fell to the White team 3-2 and lost to the Red team 3-1. Both Kral and Rath collected hits on the night.

Kral finished the season hitting .463. Her 50 RBI and seven home runs were both in the top 10 in class 3A in the state of Iowa. Kral will continue her softball career at Minnesota State in Mankato.

Rath finished the year hitting .509, eighth best in all of class 3A. Her on base percentage of .638 was eighth best in the state, her 34 stolen bases were sixth best in 3A. Rath will continue her softball career at the University of Iowa next year.
