The Iowa High School Athletic Association released their district pairings for class 2A baseball last week.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks find themselves in class 2A district nine. Joining Mid-Prairie in the district are No. 1 in class 2A Wilton, West Liberty, Louisa-Muscatine, Columbus and Iowa City Regina. The Golden Hawks stand at 12-14 on the year and will face 4-20 West Liberty in the first round Saturday, July 9th at 5PM at Louisa-Muscatine. Mid-Prairie swept West Liberty in a doubleheader by scores of 14-1 and 19-12 earlier this season. The winner of that game will move on to Tuesday, July 12th to play No. 1 Wilton in the district semifinals.
