Mid-Prairie junior Payton Miller will compete at the AAU National Track and Field Junior Olympics in Houston, Texas.
The event is July 30th through August 5th. He will participate in two events, the 400m dash and the 800m run. Miller qualified by finishing fifth in the 400 and third in the 800 during competition at Brooklyn Park, Minnesota earlier in July. Miller will also compete at next week’s United States Track and Field National Junior Olympics in Sacramento, California. Miller runs for the Iowa Speed Track and Field Club.
