During her career with the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk softball program, Alex Rath found herself on base…a lot.

Starting in 2014, Rath found herself in the top 10 of class 3A in Iowa each season in both on base percentage and batting average, while finishing in the top 10 of class 3A in the stolen bases category two of the last three seasons.

In 2014, Rath compiled a batting average of .523, placing her ninth in class 3A in Iowa, her on base percentage of .576 was eighth best and her 44 stolen bases were fifth best in the state.

In 2015, Rath compiled a batting average of .540, sixth best in the state of Iowa in class 3A. Her on base percentage of .620 led the entire River Valley Conference and was third best in 3A. She was also a perfect 20 of 20 in stolen base attempts on the year.

In 2016, Rath finished with a batting average of .509, best in the River Valley Conference and ninth best in the state of Iowa in class 3A. Her on base percentage of .575 was also the best in the River Valley and ninth best in the state. She led the league in stolen bases with 34 in 2016, that number was sixth best in class 3A.

Rath will continue her softball career at the University of Iowa beginning next season.
