The new four-season cabins at Lake Darling are almost ready, so the Friends of Lake Darling are planning a ribbon-cutting. The ceremony will be co-hosted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Lake Darling staff, and will take place on Tuesday, August 16th, at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public, and will include a tour of the cabins. They will also answer any questions the public might have about the cabins.

Lake Darling Park Ranger Zach Haworth said after the ceremony, they will inform people when they can start making reservations. He said they’ve had inquiries about their availability for months, and people have been following the progress of them closely. He added they’re excited for people to try them out, and are interested in hearing people’s feedback to make the cabins even better.
