Five free shuttle routes will be in operation Friday in Washington for RAGBRAI. Every route has a stop in downtown Washington and they begin at 10 a.m. and go into the evening. The shuttles will help alleviate traffic throughout Washington. Also, Ron See with the Washington Police Department tells KCII News that if inclement weather were to come into the area the shuttles would take people to established shelters in town.

The Red bus route is a loop of the northeast corner of town. The Blue line includes stops at the Kirkwood Regional Center, First Baptist Church and Stewart Elementary School. The Green route is the southeast quadrant of town, including stops at the middle and high schools, Walmart and Redlinger Field. The Orange route stops at the fairgrounds and Sunset Park. The final route is the Purple route, which encompasses most of Washington including the YMCA, Case Field, Stewart Elementary, and HACAP.
