Seats are installed, ceiling panels are up and walls have been painted in the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center as it nears completion. The Washington School Board toured the $7.3 million facility prior to their recent meeting. Upon entering the auditorium from the lobby, board members shared how pleased they are with the progress. he space will seat just over 700 people and at this time it is anticipated to be complete mid-September. Superintendent Jeff Dicks highlighted the stage is wheel chair accessible. There will be an entrance from the parking lot and from the commons area within the school.
