A rare opportunity awaits the Washington Demon baseball team (15-11 overall) today in St. Louis, Missouri. The Demons will make the nearly four hour drive south to Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, for a non-conference meeting versus the Williamsburg Raiders (21-11 overall).

This is the second time the Washington Demon baseball program has played Williamsburg in a regular season game at Busch Stadium. The teams also made trips to St. Louis in 2013 as the Raiders downed the Demons, 7-2.

Washington had their latest Southeast Conference doubleheader against the Mount Pleasant Panthers (16-15 overall) postponed in the top of the fourth inning of game one because of wet weather. Mount Pleasant held a 3-2 lead before play was stopped. It is unknown at this time whether the games will be made up or not.

Start time for the Washington/Williamsburg baseball game is set to begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of the St. Louis/Milwaukee Brewers game tonight at Busch Stadium.
