After having their last two games postponed due to weather, the Washington Demon baseball team (15-11 overall) will resume their season today on the road. The Demons will travel west on Highway 92 for a non-conference meeting versus the Oskaloosa Indians (20-8 overall) at Oskaloosa High School.

The Demons were scheduled to play the Williamsburg Raiders (23-11 overall) on Sunday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, but wet weather postponed their second straight contest. Washington had last Thursday’s Southeast Conference doubleheader versus the Mount Pleasant Panthers stopped midway through game one due to weather conditions. Mount Pleasant held a 3-2 lead before the postponement. It is unknown at this time whether the games will be made up or not.

The Oskalossa Indians are having another solid season as members of the Little Hawkeye Conference. Their latest games were Friday, traveling to Pella for a league doubleheader versus the No. 3 Little Dutch (22-7 overall). Oskaloosa split a doubleheader with the Dutch, winning game one 5-2 and lost game two, 5-0.

KCII Sport will provide live play-by-play coverage of the varsity game, beginning with the Washington Hy-Vee Pregame Show at 7 p.m. and first pitch is set for 7:30 p.m. on FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com.
