The Washington County Conservation Board is hoping to make Marr Park more accessible to people with disabilities with a new campsite. Conservation Director Steve Anderson said they are in the midst of planning a new handicapped camping pad at the park. He believes this will enable more people to enjoy camping at the park. As far as a timetable, they are hoping it will be done by the fall after the camping season has wound down. He added they’d like to start as soon as possible, but it would require kicking someone out of the campsite, which they don’t want to do. The proposed concrete pad will be 16 feet wide and 75 feet long, will also include a pad for a picnic table, and will be fully handicap accessible.
