Description: Prelude Behavioral Services will host the Art of Recovery on Sunday, September 25th starting at 1 pm at the Terry Trueblood Recreation Area in Iowa City. The event is in recognition of National Recovery Month, and will feature a walk along a path featuring stories of recovery, art, and live music. HERO Open House

Description: English River Outfitters is hosting an open house on Saturday, September 24th from 12-5 pm at the facility located at 2564 305th Street outside Washington. There will be a 50/50 drawing, free camping, live music, raffles, a bonfire, and door prizes. Also, a BBQ and fish fry will be offered, and people are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Biscuits and Gravy Supper

Description: The Mid-Prairie Fine Arts Boosters and Wellman Rotary are hosting a biscuits and gravy supper on Friday, September 9th from 4:30-7:30 pm at the high school cafeteria. Cost is $6.50 in advance or $7 at the door. Kids age 3-10 are $4, and kids 2 and under are free. Purchase tickets in advance from any Wellman Rotarian or high school music student. All proceeds benefit fine arts camp scholarships for Mid-Prairie fine arts students.

Description: The 2nd annual Light Up the Night in honor of Abby Miller will be Saturday, September 17th, starting at 5 pm at the Iowa Mennonite School. The event is to raise funds for the Amanda the Panda organization. Events include a vendor fair, carnival, silent auction, LEGO Land, tea time with Cinderella, a home-cooked Mennonite meal, and Chinese lantern release.

Description: The Saint Mary Church in Sigourney is hosting its 2016 Fall Festival on Sunday, September 11th from 4-6:30 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, kids age 5 and under are free. A smoked pork chop meal will be available, as well as hamburgers or chicken for kids. There will be a raffle and cash/gift card drawing, with raffle tickets $5 each.
