After the week-long Louisa County Fair, Columbus Junction was given no respite last weekend when the riders of RAGBRAI came through town for the first time. However, organizer Brooklyn Milder felt the transition was handled well by everyone involved. They had riders pass through from around 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. according to Milder, and she said they were polite, appreciative, and impressed by how organized the city was.

She feels they did enough to be considered for future RAGBRAI stops, and believes there’s things they could add or change to make it an even better experience. Overall, she feels the city did a great job and would want to do it again in the future. Milder added the vendors that came to the event did very well, most selling out of everything they had.
