Water was reported over roads in Louisa County Sunday. According to the National Weather Service out of the Quad Cities, a weather spotter reported at 10:23 p.m. that 3.25 inches of rain had fallen near Cotter, causing water to flood over the county road. According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, they’ve received reports early Monday of water over roads near the intersection of W66 and Y Avenue and near the intersection of G36 and High View Drive, north of Columbus Junction.

The Iowa River at Columbus Junction rose over two feet from Sunday morning to Monday morning, up to 16.85 feet while flood stage there is 19 feet. A flood watch is in effect for the Cedar River near Conesville.
