Recent heavy rainfall in the area caused water to go over rural Louisa County roads. The Louisa County Engineer’s Office said there were a few roads that had water over them, and they were rural gravel roads. Additionally, staff feels the bridges and other structures came out in good shape, and the only work they’ll need to repair is some erosion on a few culverts. The roads in Louisa County are all currently passable with no closings at this time, though the engineer’s office did advise people to stay alert to construction areas and be aware of possible traffic. The paved roads in the county came through the flooding without incident, and the gravel roads were the only ones the flooding affected.
