The Mid-Prairie football team held their first official practice of the 2016 season Monday at Mid-Prairie High School.
This week Mid-Prairie head coach Pete Cavanagh talked about the importance of early season practice saying that his team has big shoes to fill, trying to replace 17 graduating seniors from last year’s squad. At the same time he has seen marked physical improvement in the weight room and a good effort on the field during camp and the first day of practice. The Golden Hawks open up the season Friday, August 26th when they host Louisa-Muscatine.
