Four Mid-Prairie softball players were recognized for their work on the diamond this summer with accolades from the River Valley Conference.

Senior Alex Rath was named to the Elite River Valley Conference team as an infielder. Rath finished the season hitting .509, best in the River Valley Conference and ninth in the state. Her on base percentage of .575 was also best in the league and ninth best in the state. Rath led the league in stolen bases with 34 on the campaign. That number was sixth best in Iowa in class 3A.

Senior Amber Kral was named to the Elite River Valley Conference team as a utility player. Kral led the conference in RBI with 50. She has led the league in that stat each of the last three seasons. Her seven home runs placed her third in the league and eighth in the state. She has led the RVC in that category two of the last three years. Her .463 batting average was also second in the conference.

Senior Ali Naylor was named to the All-River Valley Conference South Division team. Naylor finished her season with a .270 average at the plate. Her five home runs were fifth best in the conference.

Junior Abby Tornow was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Tornow was a utility player for the Golden Hawks, logging time in the outfield and in the circle. Tornow led the Golden Hawks with her 3.98 ERA, she finished with 44 innings pitched, 30 strikeouts and a 1-6 overall record. At the plate she hit .359 with 33 total hits, 29 runs scored and 14 driven in.

The Golden Hawks ended the season with a 12-23 overall record.
