When the Washington County Conservation Board paved several roads in Marr Park, a problem arose of people speeding in the park. In order to tackle the issue, a few ideas were presented, and as a preliminary solution they decided to increase the signage on the roads. Conservation Director Steve Anderson said the signage has successfully slowed people down. They’re happy the signs worked and they won’t have to resort to installing speed bumps in the park. He appreciates the park patrons paying attention to those signs and helping to keep the park safe. The conservation board will continue to monitor the traffic in the park going forward.
