The Washington County Conservation Board will be meeting Thursday to hold preliminary discussions regarding a grant from the Transportation Alternatives Program, or TAP. TAP is a competitive program that uses federal transportation funds for specific activities that provide safe alternative transportation options. The Conservation Board will discuss acquiring a grant for improvements to the Kewash Nature Trail. Other topics of discussion include a review of winter hours for the Conservation Education Center, further discussion about the Ranger Technician position, and project updates and decisions for Marr Park and Sockum Ridge. The public meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Conservation Education Center.
