The annual Lone Tree Fall Festival was this past weekend, and Russell Forbes of the Lone Tree Chamber of Commerce said it was a success. One of the contributing factors to the success was the cooperation of the weather. Heading into the weekend, the forecast wasn’t promising, but Forbes said the rain held off and they didn’t have to cancel any events. The only rain that came was during the morning fun run, but he felt most of the runners are used to running in the rain so it didn’t adversely affect anyone.

Looking forward to next year, Forbes said they would like to add new activities, and they encourage local groups and non-profit organizations to sponsor and put on events. He believes new attractions would add to the flavor of the festival. If anyone would like to get involved with next year’s Fall Festival, he encourages them to reach out to the Lone Tree Chamber of Commerce.
