The Clear Creek Amana football team has navigated the first four weeks of the 2016 season, sporting a 4-0 record coming into tonight’s contest against Center Point-Urbana.

The Clippers were 44-0 winners at Maquoketa last week. Their closest contest so far this year was a 24-14 win in week two over Dubuque Wahlert. Ashton Carpenter leads the Clipper attack through the air. He is 15 of 30 for 135 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. His favorite target is Cory Siders with seven grabs for 59 yards and a score. On the ground, Iowa Mennonite School student Drake Brezina is still the team’s leading rusher, despite being sideline with a season ending injury several weeks ago. He has 284 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries.

Center Point-Urbana comes into tonight with a 2-2 overall record. The Stormin’ Pointers were beaten by West Delaware 48-15 last week. Through the air CPU is led by Zach Thurm, he’s 40 of 66 for 445 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. His favorite target is Jo Jo Frost with 13 catches for 194 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground Dalton Hite leads the Pointers with 393 yards on 72 carries with five scores.
