Two KCII area teams match up tonight in Columbus Junction when the Sigourney-Keota Savage Cobras travel to take on the Columbus Wildcats.

SK enters tonight’s game with an overall record of 4-1 after thrashing Van Buren 66-6 last week for homecoming in Sigourney. Luke Greiner led the way a week ago putting up more than 250 yards of total offense and accounting for four touchdowns in the rout. SK is led on the year by Luke Greiner through the air, he is 13 for 30 for 352 yards four touchdowns and three interceptions. His favorite target is Avery Moore with eight catches for 305 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground Moore has a team best 661 yards and 11 touchdowns on 48 carries. The Cobras lead the district and are second in the state in class 1A with 1,653 rushing yards, and are sixth in the state in total offense.

Columbus enters tonight’s game at 1-4 on the season. The Wildcats were beaten by Wapello last week 43-14. On the year Columbus is led by Carter Colby through the air who is 13 of 46 for 261 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. His favorite target is Ruben Paz with six catches for 167 yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground the Wildcats are led by Colby with 73 rushes for 344 yards and two scores. These two teams met last year in Sigourney with the Cobras taking a 58-28 win. Action begins tonight at 7:30 at Columbus High School.
