Nearly 105 acres of farmland owned by Washington County is available to rent. The current lease for the land was terminated, which means anyone interested in farming the property can now submit a bid. The Washington County Board of Supervisors set the bed letting date at their meeting Tuesday, and agreed it was best to do it soon. The bids will be opened at 9 a.m. October 11th and at that day’s supervisors’ meeting, bidders will have a chance to increase their bids if they’d like. The rate of the lease that was just terminated was $265 per acre.
