The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Monticello on Saturday.

The Mid-Prairie girls finished fifth out of 14 teams with their overall score of 126 points. Monticello won the meet with 62 points. Top finisher for Mid-Prairie was Anna Hostetler, who took home the individual meet championship with a time of 19:03. She has won every girls varsity race so far this year. Other finishes for the Hawks included Marie Hostetler as runner up, Abbagail Evans was 30th, Kessa Jones 43rd, Kate Cavanagh 50th, Greta Schmidt 52nd, and Abby Tornow 70th.

The Mid-Prairie boys finished as runners up at the meet with their team score of 55 points. Western Dubuque took the title with 44 points. Top finisher for the Hawks was Peyton Miller in third with a time of 18:07. Other Mid-Prairie finishers included Floyd Evans sixth, Zach Pettit 10th, Quinn Schmidt 17th, Andrew Schwartz 19th, Marshal Teets 30th and Spencer Yutzy 79th.

The Golden Hawks will next be in action Monday when they travel to Solon.
