A water tower that stood in Washington since the 1930’s has been taken down. Crews began working early Wednesday morning and wrapped up work the same day. They began by removing the top of the tower, lowering it to the ground with a crane and then dismantling it. Then they removed sections of the walls. The city had a new 500,000 gallon tank built to replace this 200,000 gallon tower. Also, Washington replaced it’s ground storage tank two years ago.
