The rushing attack of the No. 10 Sigourney-Keota Cobras (4-1 overall) overwhelmed another district opponent Friday. The Cobras amassed 499 yards on the ground and scored six touchdowns in a 66-6 homecoming victory over the Van Buren Warriors (0-5 overall).

Five Cobra players tallied more than 70 rushing yards. Luke Greiner led the way with 120 yards and two touchdowns. JD Stout racked up 99 yards and one touchdown. Avery Moore added 90 yards and a score. Will Magill accumulated 76 yards and two touchdowns, while Tristan Sypherd ran for 72 yards.

The victory pushes Sigourney-Keota’s record to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in district play. The Cobras travel to Louisa County this Friday for a district matchup against the Columbus Wildcats (1-4 overall).
