The WACO Warriors notched their second win of the season Friday taking out the Springville Orioles 36-28.

Gabe Black found the end zone first from 15 yards out to make it 7-0 Warriors. Springville tied the game with a 36 yard touchdown pass. Colton Horak found pay dirt from four yards out to put WACO up 14-7, Springville answered with their own four yard run to again tie the game at 14. Horak broke open a big play next possession for WACO, rumbling in from 62 yards to give the Warriors a 21-14 lead going to the break. Horak struck again in the third quarter, pushing the advantage to 28-14 with a 62 yard touchdown run. Springville put together back to back scoring drives to tie the game at 28 going to the fourth. In the final quarter, Colton Horak scored his fourth touchdown of the night, this one a 17 yard run and got the two point conversion to put the Warriors up 36-28 and the WACO defense made it stand up.

Springville outgained the Warriors 392-359. The Warriors held the advantage on the ground 345-275. WACO forced two Oriole turnovers. Horak had 23 carries for 232 yards and four touchdowns, Black finished with 12 carries 106 yards and a score. With the win, WACO is now 2-3 on the year and will be in action Friday when they travel to English Valleys.
