The Wapello Indians beat the Columbus Wildcats in a Louisa County gridiron rivalry matchup Friday night 43-14.

The Indians controlled action, rolling up 478 total yards to 265 for the Wildcats. Wapello got a big night from Logan Belzer who was 26 for 31 through the air for 261 yards and three scores. On the ground the Indians were led by Adrian Lanz with 25 carries for 179 yards and three touchdowns. For Columbus Carter Colby  was 6 of 17 in the passing game for 87 yards and a touchdown. Colby also rushed for another 75 yards. With the loss Columbus falls to 1-4 on the season.
