Washington County’s emergency 911 signs that designate addresses in rural areas are going to be replaced. Washington County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard Young stated at the supervisors’ meeting this week they’re being switched out now because some are broken and others are missing completely. He said about 200 signs will be replaced to start out and each one costs about $9.36. The new ones will be more reflective and easier to see. These signs help authorities find locations when responding to emergencies across the county.
