The Winfield-Mt. Union football team dropped their district contest with Lynnville-Sully Friday night by a 44-6 score.

The Hawk defense made things difficult on the Wolves all night, limiting WMU to just 65 yards of total offense on the night while finding the end zone seven times in the win. Winfield-Mt. Union was led by Austin Lee through the air, he was five for eight for 43 yards. Broc Mullin was the leading ground gainer for WMU with eight carries for 17 yards. Mullins scored the Wolves only points of the night, returning an interception 47 yards for a touchdown. With the loss WMU is now 1-4 on the year and will host Montezuma next Friday.
