A Warm October for Washington

Temperatures were within five degrees of meeting the record high Friday in Washington. The high temperature observed was 77 degrees, while the record was set at 82 degrees in 1927. Temperatures were also warm in Washington Saturday with a high of 77 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service, overall for the month temperatures have been above normal. The average high temperature was 66.3 degrees and the average low temperature was 45 degrees, while the normal is 41.5 degrees. The overall observed average temperature was 55.7 degrees, above the normal 53 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to rise Tuesday to the 70’s and then fall into the 60’s later this week. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
