The City of Ainsworth is coming together this weekend for their first annual Fall Fun Day. Organizer Sherrie Hazen said they’ve had larger Fun Days in the past, and this will be a smaller version of those. She said the idea came when a few community members decided they wanted to hold an event that will bring neighbors together. She says, “It’s such a fast, hectic lifestyle anymore that several of us just don’t feel like we’re able to ‘neighbor’ as much as we used to.” She believes the celebration will be a time of camaraderie and lighthearted fun, which will help bring back days of community and people being in touch with each other.

Events for the day include kids games, an improvisational comedy show, talent show, Halloween costume review, hayrides, and a community campfire. Hazen says all of the events are free except for the meals, which will cost $5 per person and will be accompanied by live music.
