The clock is ticking down to Election Day with less than three weeks until the nation selects the next president of the United States. So far over 2,100 Washington County residents have requested their ballots early and over 400 have been turned in. Washington County Auditor Dan Widmer shares what he anticipates a big turnout at the polls. In 2012, about 70% of the registered voters in the county cast ballots in the general election.

You can vote early in person or request a ballot be mailed to your home. Also, you can register to vote at the auditor’s office, or online at the State Auditor’s website, or the day of the election at your polling location. Washington County has 10 voting precincts, with four in the City of Washington.
