The four-season cabins at Lake Darling opened in August, and according to Park Ranger Zach Haworth, there has yet to be a weekend when they haven’t been full. He says that trend will continue for a while longer, as all six cabins have been reserved for nearly every weekend until December. The winter months have several weekends available, which Haworth believes is a result of people still finding out about them and learning they’re open year-round. He anticipates people will be planning into the future and making reservations soon. He added, they’ve been well received and they’ve had a lot of positive comments from people who have stayed in them. He’s happy to see the project come to a conclusion and see people enjoy them.

As the cabins were opening, Haworth said he was looking forward to seeing what people thought of them, and he was hoping they’d receive a lot of feedback to help make the cabins even better. Initial comments from visitors have been overwhelmingly positive, according to Haworth, and have focused on things people have liked, things they’d like to see changed, and other things they’d like to see offered. To his recollection, there hasn’t been a single negative in anyone’s feedback, and the majority of visitors have said they plan on using them again in the future. Reservations for the cabins can be made online at ReserveAmerica.com, or by calling Lake Darling at 319-694-2323.
