The Iowa Mennonite School cross country program will be represented in Fort Dodge next week at the class 1A state meet.

The IMS teams participated in Thursday’s state qualifier meet at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids. As a team the IMS boys had an overall score of 307 points, placing them 13th in the 21 team field. Pekin won the event with 44 points. Top finisher for IMS was Levi Geyer who took 13th with a time of 17:17. He qualifies for the state meet in Fort Dodge as an individual placing in the top 15.

Other finishers for Iowa Mennonite included Juan Andino 62nd, Jacob Boller 73rd, Cameron Roser-Peet 82nd, Anthony Villatoro 84th, Seth Danga 109th and Micah Miller 119th.

The Iowa Mennonite girls placed ninth in the 11 team field with their overall score of 232 points. Pekin won the event with 49 points. Top finisher for the IMS girls was Calli Shaw in 23rd with a time of 21:49. Other finishers included Mackenzie Gutierrez 61st, Rachel Geyer 68th, Sarena Gerber 71st, Greta Schrag 80th and Ainsley Shaw 91st.

Levi Geyer will be on the course Saturday, October 29th in Fort Dodge. The Class 1A Championship meet begins at 2:30PM.
