After opening postseason play with a convincing victory, the Highland Huskies volleyball team (22-12) saw their year come to an end in the regional quarterfinal round Monday. The Huskies continued their playoff push in the Class 2A Region 8 bracket against the top seeded No. 8 North Cedar Knights (33-5). North Cedar tallied 47 kills in a straight sets victory (25-14, 25-10. 25-11).

The Huskies recorded 17 kills and one ace. Aly Stokes and Bailey Harmston led Highland with four kills apiece. Amy Schnoebelen and Kelsey Hora were statistical leaders in their final high school volleyball match. Schnoebelen assisted on six points, while Kelsey Hora tallied 14 digs.

Highland’s season ends with a record of 22-12, a two-win improvement from last season. The Huskies will lose Hora and Schnoebelen to graduation.
