The Iowa River in Louisa County is still above flood stage, but the water level is falling. According to data from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Iowa River at Columbus Junction was at 21.5 feet at 5 a.m. today, above the 19-foot flood stage. On Friday, the river there reached 25.27 feet. At Wapello the Iowa River rose above 27 feet, but as of 5 a.m. it had fallen to 24 feet, while flood stage there is at 20 feet. Also, at Oakville where flood stage is 10 feet, the river was at 14.26 feet this morning. The Cedar River at Cedar Rapids fell below flood stage over the weekend.
