The Kirkwood Washington Regional Center is now in it’s third year and offers a variety of academies. Tera Pickens, director of the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center, says she’s pleased with the number of high school students in the area taking classes in the academies and the number is holding steady. This term there are 244 unique high school students. Seventy percent of those high school students are from the Washington School District, with 171 unique students taking concurrent credit classes. Other partner schools include Highland, Mid-Prairie, Keota, Lone Tree, WACO and the local home school association. There are also students enrolled from the WRAP Center, the alternative high school which is housed in the Kirkwood building.
