The leaf vacuum in the City of Washington will be up and running starting Monday. JJ Bell, maintenance and construction superintendent for Washington, says they’ll begin in the northwest quadrant of town and move in a counter-clockwise direction. Residents should place piles of leaves in the terrace area, between the sidewalk and the street. Do not put leaves in the street, as it can cause drainage issues and traffic hazards. The leaf vacuum will run through November 23rd.

Residents may also haul their leaves to the waste water treatment plant between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or Saturday mornings October 22nd through November 19th from 7-10 a.m.
