This week is National 4-H week, a program that has over 500 Washington County youth on its roster from kindergarten through seniors in high school. Washington County 4-H was the sixth largest program in the state last year, according to Amy Green 4-H and youth coordinator for the county.

There are many different fields students can learn about from agriculture to nutrition to fashion. Erin Chalupa, 4-H member, shares there are ways for students across the county to get involved including showing livestock, regardless of whether they live in town or on a farm. Morgan Brinning, another 4-H member, adds the program also builds leadership, communication and organizational skills. Hear Washington Pages with area 4-H students this week on KCII.
