Nana – contributed photo

Nana helps take care of residents at the Morning Sun Care Center. Nana is a beagle mix who was adopted from PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington this summer. Jessica Kelchen, administrator of the care center, says Nana goes to work during the day comforting residents and staff, and then goes home at night. Kelchen adds the residents love having Nana around and she helps the facility feel like home, as many residents had pets most of their lives.

October is adopt a shelter dog month and many dogs at PAWS and More are looking for their forever homes. To hear more about Nana’s adoption and life at the center listen to today’s Washington Page with Kelchen.
