Money was distributed to area non-profits who helped during RAGBRAI in Washington Wednesday evening. The awards meeting was held at Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The reimbursements subtotal was $7,750 and the net profit total was $32,551. The Washington Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Washington each received $5,000, also Helmets for Kids project received $3,000, and $2,000 went to the Washington Fire Department. Washington High School and Case Field received the highest reimbursement and that was $1,275 for shower fees. RAGBRAI stayed the night in Washington on July 29th.
